Besides following the AGOPP research model, the students will conduct their research entirely on the iPad.  This end-to-end process will include the following elements:
  • Creating the graphic organizers using Pages
  • Gathering and recording information without paper/pencil
  • Preparing their document using Pages
  • Presenting through iBook

Ask Questions
  • Identify questions
  • Student-generated graphic organizers
  • Determine where you can locate possible answers to our questions
Gather Information
  • Search for information using a variety of resources (videos, podcasts, apps, iTunesU, websites)
  • Record relevant information (correct spelling!)
  • Cite where you gathered the information from
Organize Information
  • Determine which research questions you've answered
  • Determine which questions remain...can you locate additional information somewhere else?
Prepare and Produce
  • Create a class iBook to be published in the iTunes library that most families have at home
    • Each research group will produce a one page document using Pages to be included in the class book.
    • The document must include information from the following areas: physical characteristics, habitat, and survival.
Present
